Who We Are

A Community Standing United

We are the neighbors of 4500 NW Powers Ave, a rural residential community with a deep connection to the land. For decades, we have preserved this area as a sanctuary for our families and a vital corridor for local wildlife, including deer, eagles, hawks, and rabbits.

Why We Are Taking a Stand

Recently, a quiet pasture in our neighborhood was purchased with the intent to replace our rural character with a 28,574 square foot multi-use facility, large storage building, and paved parking lot with 260 spaces. We are firmly opposed to this proposal.

This development is fundamentally incompatible with our residential zone. If allowed to proceed, it will:

  • Irreparably alter the fabric of our community, trading rural tranquility for noise, light pollution, and traffic.
  • Strain our existing infrastructure, pushing our rural roads and services well beyond their safe and intended limits.
  • Destroy local ecosystems, endangering the wildlife that makes our neighborhood a special place to live.

Our Mission

We are not just residents; we are stewards of this land. We have united to hold developers and local officials accountable, ensuring that any use of this property respects the safety, peace, and environmental integrity of our home. We refuse to stand by while our community’s future is compromised.

We are organized, we are vigilant, and we are committed to protecting the character of 4500 NW Powers Ave.
